Ramprasad is a recent college graduate who finds a job with a finicky man Bhavani Shankar who believes that a man without a mustache is a man without a character. Bhavani Shankar is also against any of his employees indulging in recreation of any kind. When Ramprasad is caught by his boss at a soccer match he has to invent a twin brother the clean shaven Laxman Prasad to save his job. When Bhavanis daughter falls in love with the clean shaven Laxman Prasad and insists on marrying him and Bhavani insists she should marry Ramprasad things take a whacky turn. A fake mother and a hilarious chase are other enjoyable features involved in this comedy.

Terribly cut version. Dialogues where Ram Prasad compares Bhavani Shankar to Hitler, where Amitabh Bacchan signs autographs. Ruins the pace of the film. Do not watch this version, it'll ruin the film for you. Watch it only as an example of how to ruin a brilliant film.

Watched this movie when it was released, or there about, watching it again in 2017. What a pleasant and refreshing entertainment. They don't make anymore of these kinds. Our generation lived and laughed with it, I am afraid our kids will never know what simple and pure entertainment is. Or maybe the definitions have changed over time. An evergreen entertainer.
